Around here its just the labor rate for the time it takes.

Awall if you end up mounting a 12v cig lighter adapter you should get a splitter and use a radar detector too

HAha. Might need a radar detector!

The local yamaha shop quoted 1/2 hour to sync with the professional syncing tool (forget what it's called). Was like $39.00 didn't think that was bad.

I bought the phone holder from advanced auto. It is one of the ones that clamps the phone in tight, and is on a bendable rod with a suction cup on the end to attach to your car windshield. I cut the cup off, capped the end and bent it to attach to triple tree. Currently it only needs a few hidden zip ties. It works great...just want a les bulky mount in the future. No vibration issues...and I added a non-glare screen protector. I'm thinking of using a plastic belt type holder and fabbing it to bolt to the exposed handle bar mounts. It would sit lower.

I'm one for hardwiring...so I will be taking apart a cigarette lighter charger and wiring it into the fuse box.

          Here is a closer pic.

Btw..I also use "Car Home" which has programmable quick access buttons that I have set up for navigation, weather radar, speed pro, just about anything you want at a push of a button.

The bendable black rod is bent from the back of the mount ...half way around the ingition/key...then down and under the leading edge of triple tree. It is a strong rubber coated rod...and with the right bend would stay there on it's own, but I used zip ties to be sure.

Check these out, and simular ones on ebay.

Find one you like with a bendable rod, cut the suction cup off...and with alittle imagination you'll get it to work good.

Looks good, only issue is the 12v cig female adaptor wiring to the battery with an inline fuse.

Yes it is a 81 Honda CB (900 i think) tank. Works well and honda non-vacuumed petcock sits in the right spot and works well.
