1981 gs1000glx points cover emblem

I have had no luck trying to restore this emblem so I am looking to buy one. The ones I have seen on ebay have gold color on the ring and DOHC. Is this the right color or was there a silver only. I'm not trying for original just wondering. I'll probably buy what ever I can get.

Hmm mine are stuffed or missing, Wouldnt mind replacing them, wonder what a custom made one would cost..

None of the new ones I've seen look exactly like the originals. You'd probably have to pay a mint for any NOS emblems that are still around.

When I got my 750 my emblems were completely trashed...looked around at replacing them but the cost was pretty high for OEM ones...and the aftermarkets were kinda cheesy and cheap looking...so I decided to go a completely different route..something different..

DDM, Where did you find that cover? Im wanting to replace mine for something more original as well. Id like to fab something but thats looking a lil far fetched.
