If I take the tank off to paint I can't ride, winter painting in the cellar ?

I paint in the off season...and since we don't really have one my bike looks like dirt. I'm okay with it, though.

In NH I'm sure the winters get pretty cold so you want to ride during the summer as much as possible. Try to watch the weather as best as possible and do what you can. I spent the last few months fixing dents in the tank and repairing a sidecover for paint, got that done last month those got painted and are up and ready for riding, in the fall the bike gets broke down for a frame repaint and rims get done then.
