i "windowed" my ignition cover on my GS but the clutch cover would be very hard indeed unless you converted to a hydraulic clutch.

Yeah great. Then he can have that "blender full of spoons" sound that dry clutch Ducatis have. No thanks.

Little trick to removing the foam from behind the cover.....spray the crap out of it with carb cleaner and walk away. It will practically fall out ofter a few hours and few soaks.

and the clutch cover has been done cant remember where I found this but I would love to do it only I am returning the oil from my turbo into mine.

The window would be easy to do on a 550 or 750 with a pushrod operated clutch.

that looks awesome but will it still be strong enough to handle some proper clutch abuse? it looks like it has been weakened considerably around the actuator mechanism

Couldnt tell ya I found it online somewhere and had it saved for a while. I suppose if you left enough of the structural members in tact it would work......suppose it would be one of those trial and error things. If I need to upgrade to a lock-up after the turbo install I will something like this, but I will paint the clutch basket.....and maybe add a LED.

will this clutch cover fit on a Gs1000 motor? i have a spare cover the same and fancy having a go at modifying it.

well i went and done it anyway on my GS1K. all looking good so far just waiting for the acrylic to arrive and the s/s clamping ring to bolt it all up. gonna polish up all the exposed bits in the window and spray the cover black.

WOW...that is art, right there. Can you do the matching LEDs in there?

i am thinking about LED's but cant see a possible solution. led's dont like oil or heat and its getting them mounted and routing the wiring which poses a problem. it has been done if you check out you tube but im not sure how

You could use a similar system to that used in some yo-yo's. A centrifugal switch in a fully enclosed case with button cell batteries.
