Don't use that crappy polish on your new paint. Get some Meguiare's or 3M polish from a good auto parts store. There are all kinds of different polishes so it can be confusing. I used Meguiar's products: Fine-Cut Cleaner followed by DeepCrystal Polish and Show Car Glaze. The DeepCrystal was slightly finer than the Fine-Cut so there isn't a huge difference. At any rate, get some light cutting compound followed by a polish. The glaze is not strictly necessary unless you want a show finish. With a yellow paint job you won't need a killer polish anyway since light colors don't show the hazy as much as dark colors.

    Good job and good luck.

+1 on the McGuiers. Best in the business AFAIC. I use it on everything from body work to the case covers and pipes. Plus, bonus is it smells nice when it warms up on the motor

3M makes cuttign products. You should check out some autobody forums.

Even the white TW products will leave swirls.
