Gs1100E Windshield/Fairing
Hello GSR Folks, well I searched around and all I could find was pictures of the E model with the 1150 fairing ,was wondering if anybody has any pictures of 82-83 1100E models with Fairings or windsheilds,Im looking more sporty than touring but NOT a cafe style Mairer or Cooley/Z1R Type I want to be able to take it on and off easy...Have my eye on something like this but not sure how it will go with my huge stock headlight.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Natio...item25515ec00a
Any input would be great.ThanksTags: None

I had something similar on my gk. It looked alright and kept the wind of my chest. But not really out of my face. Mine was a Memphis Shades deuce.

I have a National Cycle F-16 on mine. I had to cut the opening around the headlight bigger. I also made some supports out of aluminum rod because it moved around too much. It is nice. It cuts down the pressure on my chest and I get no buffeting. I would get you pictures but my camera is MIA. I will try to get some though.

It works great to take the pressure of my chest so I don't have a death grip on the handlebars. I still get wind on my helmet. Also a plus is the bugs hit it and less hit the shield on my helmet.

The one you link to looks similar to the Slipstreamer Spitfire. I use it on my '83 1100E and it works pretty well. It goes on and off quickly and looks okay with the 8 inch headlight. I don't have any pics of one on my bike but several other members here use the same windshield and may be able to post pics.
They can be found at good prices too. Here's one for $53.
Thanks,
