    GS1100GK gas tank swap ?

    I am having problems with my tank on a GS1100GK...what other tank will fit?

    850? L - models? anything? thanks!

    What sort of problems are you having? Is it leaking, too short, or too small?

      Tanks

      82-83 850g........... 82-83 1100g......... no L models. I believe that's it without a lot of mod's. Bob

        I would think 1100GK and 1100G tanks are same (have different stripe pattern).

        I do know that the mounting for any tank 81 and prior is different than any 82 and after.

            G and gk tanks are the same. 850 tanks should fit to

                    I dont know the style in which you are customizing your gk but as far as a smaller tank goes it would require a custom seat to look right and some heavy frame mods to work.

                      Why a smaller tank? I'd much rather have more fuel available to me than anything else. Or are you planning on something else?

                            Id keep the tank. You can shave the seat foam into any shape you want with qn electric turkey knife and get it recovered by an upholstery shop
