A Different Tank Cleaning Question?
If you have followed my project thread you will see that I have had my tank powder coated. It came out looking great. The problem I have is that I got excited when i did it and did not take any marine cleaner to it first. Now I have the old liner that was in it all charred and peeling off. Does any one know if the POR15 cleaner will clean out all the charrred flakes but not destroy my powder coat when I drain it out? I just wanted to know what peeps think before I go out and spend the money on it.Tags: None

Marine Clean is a degreaser, it won't remove an old tank liner.
Here are some threads to read about stripping a liner.

Once again Ed comes through like a champ. For what ever reason I did not even think about searching liner removal. Brain farted and posted without really searching but I am going to tag this thread for future reference considering you have conveniently linked the good stuff. By the way what kind of rubber stopper plug did you use on the filler necK? I saw the picture just want to know what to look for. I like that idea.

Found the rubber plug at work so not sure where to get one. Any flat piece of rubber would do if you copy the design.
