So what do you guys consider the difference between a cafe and a streetfighter? Because to me a cafe is a bare bones twin, and everything else going for the look is a fighter.

Streetfighter, a faired bike dumped too many times, so all the plastic removed, and some other crap done to make it look tough or badass. Cafe, small bike made to be as fast as possible, likely on a budget. Nothing there that doesn't help it corner, stop, or go. If it looks nice, that's fine but looks is really secondary to performance.

I also hate you. Mostly because I wish my bike looked like that

Please post up some more pictures.

I skimmed through your thread on DTT.

It's OK everyone... he started with an L

Seriously post your build up. I don't think anyone will hate you for fixing an L.

Back to the original poster, I found a street fighter-ed 850G. Here's the link.

He mounted up GSXR front end and rear wheel as was able to mate the spline to the rear wheel. He also made a custom mono shock swinger for it. Anything is possible if you have the time / skills.

                          Wait a Tick....

Edit. I just looked at the starting picture. It's not actually an L. Its a E model that someone put on an L seat and fender.

Regardless of how it started, the end result of your mod's are awesome!

I recomend the OP lurk on www.DoTheTon.com several member here are on there as well. Poke around for a while, you don't NEED to join if you don't want to.
+2 on it doesn't need to be a small twin. They are just typical... back in the day 500cc thumpers were very common. I originally cafe'd my '69 BSA Lightening back in '81 with clubmans, no fenders, a homeade bumstop seat and a knee-dent Firebird tank when no-one was doing it... recently did a '72 CB350Four.
Clubmans will do the look (and authentic) if clip-ons are impractical.
Agreed rear sets are definately worth the time, even if you just adapt the controls to utilize the passengers pegs.

redplastic... What makes you think it's because of your Bike?
