Pseudo poll: One mirror or two?

I've been riding for decades with one bar-end mirror, as pictured below, which all old my friends used to tell me was the cool way to go. Lately, I'm hearing more and more advice (from young friends) to add one on the throttle side, or to switch to the stock-type stalk mirrors.

What do you think? What types of mirrors do you guys run?

    Two mirrors , definately .
You don't want to be the coolest dude in the cemetery .
I've got stock mirrors (x2) on both my bikes . Stalks on the '750 (in the States) and standard ones (that lots of you hate) on the Cooley (at home) .

    Cheers , Simon .

Yup, two mirrors every time. I've seen some nifty extenders on ebay that move the mirror across, splendid idea.

Don't say can't, as anything is possible with time and effort, but, if you don't have time things get tougher and require more effort.

No question 2 mirrors . I need to see what's about to run me over. At stops I've also been blindsided by cyclists whipping up on the right side...out of no-where it seems. Iwas turning right one time and got t-boned by one. Luckily we all survived.

As I've always said Knowledge is power so the more you know the better it is. To me that means everything coming up behind you as well as to your front.

          Ride safely my friends.

Two mirrors on both of the bikes I ride. I wouldn't be without them.

The base I work on requires two mirrors but honestly, I need them and would have them anyway; better sight picture of what's around you.

My XT 600 I just picked up has only one, on the left side, perfectly legal here. It feels super dangerous, feels like I'm going to get hit any second. I spend all of my attention looking back over my right shoulder, it sucks big time. Not going to ride into town this way, that would be suicidal. The new mirrors are in the mail.

I slipped my left hand mirror in my bag after it loosened up and began flopping on the handle bars half way to work several weeks ago - it was a Horrible second half of the ride. I was legal, but felt handicapped.

Two all the way! I haven't decided whether I'll stick with stalks or go bar ends yet, but I want good visibility behind me...
