    I like mine

    Stock,well stock for my bike
Edit:really you can never really go to wrong with stock.Yours would be a really dark metallic gray inside, not black. That's what the Skunk wheels will be.

I went into O'Reilly's with the intention of painting my rims all satin black. So I bought that. But now that I think about it some more, I'm starting to lean towards stock. I'm going to return the paint I just bought and try to find some really dark metallic gray . And I need another can of paint stripper for the rear rim. One 15 oz can will only finish off one rim.

But wait.... Black rims makes it look faster. Do I want cool or nice???

what I would do is to clean off the last bit of black in the castings (use more stripper and a stainless steel brush, the clear over the whole thing. The Por 15 Glisten PC. I use the semi gloss with proper preparation.

So you're saying to keep it as silver? I will mount it back up on the bike to see what that will look like .

I'm going to paint mine white.
              But it's a white bike, a 700E.

Black is boring! Black frame, soon to be black motor.....don't you think you have enough black already. Color match to your body panels with polished lip or the gold will really pop. Do anything but black.

I like Posplayr's idea of the silver. Or the black with the polished lip. Either one would look good I think.

OK. I wish I could have given this more time but I have decided to do it in stock. Thanks for your guys' opinions!

I used Tal-Strip to strip the red paint off of the rims. Then I used graphite Dupli-Color Wheel paint. Not too bad for a $15 paint job and only 1 hour 22 mins .

Here it is all masked up.

                        Done.

I got a little overspray on the polished rim but it was nothing steel wool couldn't take care of.

So the insides are graphite and the rim is polished. I was doing this the Steve way but now that I see it like this, I like it!

LOL! I was going to do stock but the paint I bought wasn't dark enough .
