What tanks will fit the GS550?

Sadly, the Dunstall tank I've got won't fit the GS that I'm turning into a cafe racer. I can't get it low enough without modifying the tank. Sadly, my skills don't stretch that far.


So, it's either modify the original 550m (Katana) tank like Yaddy did (http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...t=yaddy&page=8) OR I buy something which is a direct replacement that suits the tail unit.

So, what tanks will fit the GS550 frame? Only Suzuki or will Kwaka/Yam/Honda fit?

Post a picture of the frame. I don't think many people have a GS550M so we wouldn't know, although I'd expect it to be the same as most GS's.

As FC said, shoot pic's of the frame up and take some measurements of the channel etc. in your existing tank.

While I don't have my bike here at the moment, I do have my tank, so I could measure it for you, 450E tanks make great cafe tanks...
