Advice needed: 80 GS850GL luggage rack and backrest

I've just bought this bike on ebay and need to find a luggage rack, backrest, and windshield. I've read some of the advice on windshields on GSResources, but I can't locate a suitable luggage rack or a seat/backrest to fit this bike. Can anyone help?

You are probably going to have to find a motocycle boneyard near you or find one on E-bay.

I've been looking for a luggage rack or backrest as well. Not having much luck.

Try ebay or you may get lucky like I did.
Keep an eye on the GS'es for sale here and see if you can find your model with a backrest. Then PM them and see if you can buy the backrest,before or after they sell the bike.
In my case, the buyer of the bike didn't want the backrest so I scored. :twisted:

Luggage and racks

The best place to look for racks is your local ( or out of town) motorcycle salvage shops. I shop around with one here and have seen a few racks. If you are interested perhaps send me your info and photos and I can look here for you.
