Painting wheels black. Gloss, Semi-gloss, satin?

So my wheels are all primed and ready to go but Im not sure which finish to go with. I bought gloss and semi-gloss but figured Id ask on here too. Which finish is standard when painting wheels black?

depends on the colour of the rest of your bike, pics may help

Hi, Here is a pic of one of mine. The black I used was an gloss epoxy appliance paint, though that may not be exactly what Suzuki used, I like it. Ray

Forgot about these for my last bike with no paint.

          Here's the rims I did on my GS450. Dupli-Color engine semi-gloss black.

And here's the rims I did for my GS1100E. Dupli-Color Wheel Paint dark metallic gray, I believe. The outsides were polished by hand.

Yep, the standard Suzuki colour was a dark grey/charcoal type colour, a smidgen darker than you have on yur 1100 wheels there.
There is a thread here somewhere, someone mentioned it was a dead ringer for some or other Chrysler (I think) colour called anthricite or something, I don't remember the exact details.

I used Rustolium Wheel Paint, turned out to be a semi gloss black.

On my wife's bike and my son's bike, I used gloss black wheel paint and scraped the edges to keep the "polished" look on the "spokes".

I used VHT caliper paint in gloss black. They also have a satin black. If you want to do any polishing, do it first. Then mask and paint. I also used a self etching primer first.
