No problems. Race engines are always painted, but they wouldn't if there was good reason not to.Ed

Homie
I occasionally paint cars, have the necessary refinishing equipment and access to a spray booth. I have been thinking about refinishing the engine on one of my 1100E's. The "black motor" of the '83 appears to be satin epoxy of some type. Does anyone know the definitive answer as to what type of finish it is? I could work with my paint dealer and probably get it pretty close, but if someone has already done the leg work and knows, it would save me some trouble.

Most people around here use rattle can paint. If you come across any high temperature epoxy engine paint (that doesn't come in a rattle can) please share.Ed
