    Swing arm

I am wanting a little longer swing arm for the look I'm after. Will a gs1100 aluminum swing arm mount on my 80' 550L?

If nobody knows can someone with a gs1100 measure the width on the front of the swing arm where it mounts to the frame?

    Thanks guys.

it should, you might have to bend out your passenger footpeg brackets from what i recall reading. i chopped mine on my 550 frame so i didnt run into that. you'll have to drill out from a 15mm hole to a 16mm hole as the 1100 swingarm is 1mm thicker. the width beteeen the frame are identical so once you drill out for the axle it'll slide right in. pretty simple, i used a drill bit i ordered off line and my battery drill with perfect results. the other thing is you'll need eye to clevis shocks, vs the eye to eye of stock. only thing im not positive on is your stock rear axle as ive put a gsxr wheel in there with the 20mm axle and cant recall what the stock was.
