If it were my bike, I would put a brushed aluminium satin finish on the can and leave the rest black.

it was black chrome originally so i would have to source some VHT aluminium satin paint, but i like the sound of that

I voted leave it black, but after reading Steve's reply that actually makes some sense... brushed alu. look is nice

Maybe you should go play with your green hovercraft thing for a bit and ponder your choices?

I see! Somewhere around I have an old plastic boat and have often wondered if I shouldn't do something so I could run it in the pool... if it wasn't a salt water pool I'd be more seriously tempted...

              But enough threadjacking already

think im gonna try a white end can, good thing is its only paint, so if i decide i dont like it its an easy fix to spray it black again

My vote is for satin black but brushed aluminum would also look nice.

OK.... So why is there a hose going to the oil filler hole? I've seen it a lot but never understood what it does.

hose is a crankcase breather, goes to a catch tank for track use, or a small K&N type filter for road use.
i have an aluminium streetfighters knuckle duster which i am thinking of bolting to the white can, it will be sprayed black and act as a heel guard too. here is a mock up.....

Darn! same here and I only just now voted THEN saw Agemax's paper wrap picture then Steve's post.

The black end cap on the can with the can itself in brushed Ali would indeed look cool.

Better start a new poll eh

Like the knuckle duster. Nice bit of biker bling but think something with straight slashes on the can might look better.

Maybe a pair of knuckle dusters, one either side on the frame stiffening plates just below the seat where the two sections of tube meet.

maybe this then, good old turkey foil for a mock up......

liking the aluminium colour now, rather than white. maybe with the knuckle duster on it.
just gotta find some heat resistant aluminium paint now

What if the knuckle duster was white? Cut it out of paper and see...

dont think white would show up well on a aluminium coloured exhaust. satin black the same as the rest of the exhaust would look better me thinks
