The guy that stitched the top did a fabulous job. If the vinyl was thicker, and matched the original cowhide pattern a little better it would be almost perfect.Last edited by Nessism; 09-17-2011, 10:59 AM.Ed

I have been corresponding with PIT, more like PITA! They are not accepting that thie diamond pattern is the correct seat for my 1980.
I sent pictures of my seat, along with pictures of bikes with the diamond seat pattern. The are saying I don't have the pattern right.
So, I don't think they will be any help.

This is what I was told in regard to sending my seat:
Hi,
In order to make an accurate seat cover, I need to cut the original seat cover into their individual pieces so to trace their shape accordingly. As such the original seat cover will be destroyed. However, I assure you that my replica seat cover will be of excellent quality and nothing inferior to the original.
I am a little hesitant to cut up my original seat. But, in the name of progress, I guess I will.

Looking forward to seeing how it turns out Rich. The sewing pattern is not difficult to replicate but I hope they have the right vinyl material. The original vinyl is cowhide pattern, and the graining is somewhat random looking, not uniform. It's thick too.Ed
