    Did some more painting

Painted my Rooster fairing and side covers to match the black/red theme of my luggage. I think they came out great.

        Hi,

Super! That's a good looking touring setup you've got there.

        Thank you for your indulgence,

That looks a whole lotta much more gooder Dave. Except I can't decide if I liked the side covers just red, or the new look. They both looked good, and I know you did it to tie the black in more, but I can't decide...

Looking at it some more, and I know you don't wanna mess that pretty OEM painted tank, but I think it pop like a tube of biscuits if the panel on the tank was black too. That would really look euro.

Very nice. The shapes and the colors work very well together.

Tank and front fender to match.

Were it me, I'd leave the fender red. That way only side facing panels were black. Or maybe trim the fender in black with a red panel down the center.
And Dave you shouldn't leave your helmet in the garage. For one, it makes a lovely home for spiders now that weather is getting cool (ask me how I know) and second, they say leaving helmets around areas where fumes can build up can do damage to the internal foam and shorten the life. Not to sound like a know it all or anything. I learned about the spiders first hand though. Nothing quite as exciting as having a big brown hairy spider drop down in your line a vision with your helmet on and shut while at speed.

Way ahead of you on doing the tank too. I know it would look good, but I really am hesitant to mess up a good thing. Undecided at this point. In all honesty, I'm still not sure I like the sidecovers that way or not, but they turned out really good.

In all these years, I've never kept my helmets anywhere but the garage, but I hear you. And I do always look inside it before putting it on.

Not much of a painting setup here. I don't have any kind of booth or anything. I just lay newspapers on the floor, and start spraying. Very low tech, but I end up with a fairly decent result because of all the wet sanding I do....which I hate. Oh well.

                          Thanks for the nice comments.

I wonder if you could get some black vinyl contact paper to apply on the tank, so it wouldn't be permanent.

Nicely done! That all blends in well, although I think I'd have to agree with doing the side panels on the tank black as well. I really like the scheme and the side panels the way the are is definitely the right thing

Just an unrelated question... do you find that fairing reduces the side vision at night with the headlight being so recessed?
