Tank logo touch up

What paint can I use on these. Are they brass? The black paint on mine is coming off in a few places.

My gut tells me to try some Testors paint from a hobby store. Maybe a clear enamel over that?

I've just wire wheeled mine for the moment... undecided if I want to leave them raw or paint them again... but yes I've heard enamel model paint is good for them.

thats how i did my tank and side panel badges. they are aluminium so its ok to use paint stripper on them. sprayed them with enamel model paint as a base coat, then painted in the letters and clearcoated over.
looks stunning and easy to clean
