Very nice, looks better than new.

Polishing that unseen cover is almost as much fun as polishing the cam chain tensioner.
(And makes just about as much sense. )

true, but when you are bored at work and you get paid for doing it while you are there then it kinda makes it worth while

And here I thought he wore sunglasses to look cool on his GS and stay in mufti on his Wing...

Actually the cam caps on Steve's bike (the GS) are, as yet, untouched.

However, the cap caps on Mrs. Steve's bike speak for themselves:

By the way, the cam chain tensioner shown earlier is also on HER bike.

The cam covers on my Wing are already chromed from the factory, so I just need to wipe them off occasionally.

No, no, no Steve, I was talking about those little half circle things with the four bolts, labled A B C and D that hold those stick things in the top of the head in place, under the valve cover.

hahaha, it's all good Steve, we just mess with ya, 'cause we are jealous

                        Oh, you mean these guys.

They don't polish up very well, so I don't bother with them.

Nice job bakirkwold - what was the process? Various grades of wet and dry paper, a polishing wheel? Both?

Thanks Syd. It was all wet sanding. I used 400 then 2000 I used the 2000 only because that's what I had. Then I used this stuff http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...0454&ppt=C0209and a polishing wheel for my drill like this http://www.autogeek.net/3-5inch-foamed-wool-pad.html
