Tired Turn signals

My rubber mounted TS are all rotted . I am cheap by nature and wondered if anyone had repaired these lights and reused them. thanks

Turn Signal Mounting

When I brought my T-model home the signals were all droopy. Thinking the rubber cushions were shot, I ordered OEM replacements from PartShark. What I found, on disassembly was that there is a plastic spacer that fits into the cushion. The spacer has a flange that was broken on all the signals preventing them from snugging up true. The spacers are less then $3 USD each.

Well, I am certainly NOT infallable. I was just thinking, "How do you repair 'rotten'?" I'm pretty sure one or two members may even have some spares in their garage for sale. Check the Parts For Sale and post in the Parts Wanted sections. The $3 spacer fix might work too, depending on how "rotten" the blinker stalks are.

I took all mine apart ,dug out the rot and reused the metal mounting flanges with an 1/8" or so ground off and epoxied them inside the plastic box that the rubber was mounted to and Bob's your uncle . An hours work and 4 good ts

Yeah the signal light sockets seem to be made of super crappy steel thinly coated with chromate colouring.

The springs also rust like a bastard.

Evapo Rust is the miracle of all such things.
