What's it cost to do the cbx stuff up? My old man has a 79 drag bike, silver, that needs new paint. If ya don't want to post you can pm me, he has a fiberglass tank I want to have done for his birthday.

                Beautiful stuff again, Larry.
I have a POR-15 kit to run through my CBX tank...i'm thinking an "accidental" spill and a paint job will be required.
                Reproduction Decals or AFE?

Always room for more, Steve. The decals are Reproduction Decal products. I like them, but they're just so damn thick. It's really hard to completely bury them in clear.

I have always preferred the look of the gloss '80 side covers over the correct '79 satin.
After looking at these i will have to change my preference.
Larry, is the satin any more difficult to paint than the gloss?

Not at all, Steve. In fact it's way easier. No clear coats, no sanding and polishing. I use a nice high-end trim paint that comes in a spray can. It's designed for plastic interior and bumper parts and costs about $20 a can. It has an adjustable fan in the spray nozzel and when applied correctly, turns out like the ones on this CBX. I still prepped the parts the same, though. Sanded, primed, sand, paint.
