Stainless Allen Bolts: Where to buy?!

Where on earth sells Stainless Allen bolts long enough to fit the chain cover and the clutch cover??? I can't find them at any local hardware stores...

They are the odd-ball 3 inch long deals.

Fastenal has a store you can go to and you can also check your local stores inventory online but I find most metric fasteners I need for my bike I have to orde online.

Ace, True Value, Hardware Hanks. Most hardware stores (not Home Depot or Lowes) will have them in their tray system. You should easily find ss allens there with the right pitch. You'll have some trouble from time to time finding larger sizes with the correct pitch due to the options available, but 80% of the time the local small center should have what you need unless you are looking for M10 Fine 1.25 pitch Acorn Nuts.

If by chain cover you mean cam cover, try this guy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/230731903712...#ht_624wt_1165

As for the complete engine side cover bolts, give Z1 a call. About $24 for the kit IIRC.

The kits from Z1, are a good choice, I got it for my bike, they even include the allen wrench...

McMasters Carr, bags of 25 run about 5-7 bucks, yes you will have lots of leftovers and may spend more but you can give me the leftovers for 50 cents on the dollar

I'm telling you, the engine bolts will make your switch pod screws look like crap. Have you noticed the rust on your fork crown pinch bolts? The front fender bolts look kike sh1t. foot peg mounts? Come on...

Your bike really needs an upgrade.

                      Mine do anyway.

It's not always about buying cheap. If you have the time and want to have them shipped, by all means, go to eBay or an online retailer.

If you want to support local or just need a few that you need for a project then having a local source is the best.

I'd rather give my community member $10 than UPS any day.

I purchased all the engine bolts that I needed from my local ace hardware. Roughly $12 for all of them.

They will most likely have everything you need. If they don't have it then I don't know where to get it.
