Calling all Sisal Wheel Users !

Hey, I dont know these sisal wheels from a hole in the ground. Experienced sisal wheel users , any recommendations from this current e bay page? Looking to up my polishing arsenal after a battle with a dark grey stator cover and a limp spiral stitch cotton wheel. This is the one I use and love it! It cuts quicker than anything I have used.
Seems to me though, I dint pay this much for mine. I bought either three or four of em for around 20 bux shipped.
Be for warned though, it gets very messy.
I buy my rouge at Northern tool in four packs of different grit.

I also use a wheel like Octane linked. Sears sells polishing compound for cheap. Get the black/gray cutting compound. It's the coarsest available, but will still make a nice shine, even with that sisal wheel.

That link depends on what you use the wheel on.I get them for less locally.Use my 6" grinder with 6" wheels.Sisal with black compound,then a full sewn with red/brown then finish with a loose wheel with white.I tend to go high polish but just a sisal will put a good shine on stuff.Not quite as addicted as Steve but..............

I do know that I started as many with a drill and some crappy 4 inch cotton wheel. I recently graduated to the 6 inch twin shaft HARBOR FREIGHT pedalstal buffer. Its a total peice of junk but for 44 dollars and being able to have 2 wheels on with no changing between compounds, its worth it and works good. A little underpowered.
The sisal will make it even more effective. When that aluminum gets that black impregnated look, it takes some real cutting to take it down...and to get that last bit of milky looking haze that remains just below the surface. Thx again for the input

Got my sisal wheels from the link octain posted, tuff stuff, they are a world of difference in cutting ability. I only currently have an old chunk of brown tripoli, going to sears to get a small variety of sticks.
The sisal wheels are from TP tools and equipment, its basically a car restoration catalog but they have a great selection of tools , metal working equipment for forming and fabricating, electrical, fasteners, metal treatments and some paints, polishing, welding , blasting etc, great mini cleaning brush sets etc on and on. Sure its mostly china made, but sorry, there is less and less thats not.
Fast shipping on my item. www.tptools.com I would request a catalog or check em out online for some good bike resto stuff. The catalog is way better than searching the site.
