    Pin stripe repair

On my 82 GS750E, black with orange and red pin stripe, the pin stripe on the side covers and rear was either missing or damaged. I could not locate an orange pin stripe that matched and did not want to spend big bucks on the new decal kit and the tank did not need any repair. I used red 3M pin stripe, #72804 (this might be an old number as I purchased the red 10 years ago) for the red and Testers model paint from the local hobby shop ,#1127 orange enamel for the Orange. Tape it off using 1/8" or 1/16" vinyl tape to make the tight turns. Clear coat over that for protection. Also used Testers Black #1147 with a small model brush to touch up nicks in the base coat. All a near perfect match. Will post pictures soon. Still putting the bike back together after a partial restoration.
