I think Rudy's source has dried up if my memory serves me correctly.

        3. Remove glass, take out screws, disassemble gauges.
        4. Take both face-plates and scan them into your computer (picture will work but rotation and sizing will be affected).
        5. Open in your choice of photo editing program...
        6. Go to town.
Last: Ensure the sizes you print are the same as what was scanned in, and use a high-quality anti-fade photo paper.
I would be willing to do some work in Illustrator to create the new faces. I'd recommend scanning the originals with a flat ruler or some other measurement guide as a reference. That'll ensure the sizing is correct. I could then send you the PDFs that you could print yourself or have locally printed. You don't want me printing with my crappy printer!

Just PM me if you are interested. I'll probably create a library if I get enough interest. If it goes far enough I'll see if I can find a good local source for quality UV safe prints.

If sent the scans I can do the design work. The printing would have to be explored.

I just started a related thread and I put up a ton of "how to" links on how to do this yourself. I'm just about to post my next step.
Are you doing a restoration project of some kind on a GS? Let everyone see what you are doing by posting the details here.

If this is done again, I'd love to get a set of red gauges to fit a '79 850 tach & speedo.

You need to make some notches in the doorway, so you can ride from the living room to the kitchen

I really missed out on Rudy's work. Here's what I would have had him do.

Maybe Rudy or someone else can get this started up again.

ive been wanting to do this too...I have a set of 450 gauges that I wanted to use for some time but had many issues...you have sparked an interest in me now....the gauges I have are marked in KM not MI fo rthat JDM look... so if your interested in something like that I may just start work on it in a few weeks after my calendar clears....
