    Old School,
I love the tank badge on the orange 2stroke. What's the origin of this badge? I'm trying to decide what to use on my gs450 cafe.
    Thanks, Niels

Nice job! Looks like you used a KZ tank for the rear cowl?

I actually looked hard at these and the old winged badges. Never found any that were not (a) too expensive; (b) beyond repair or refurbish; or (c) sketchy Thai knock-offs.

un decided so far how about some Ideas? I think the motor will be powder coated a bronze or gold with black high lights and stainless cap screws. I dont know what to paint the fram?? Ive thought maybe White or even like neon something bright! It could end up like the technicolored dream coat!!

This thread is great! Not sure if I'll ever convert my "T" to a Cafe Racer but these are some interesting bikes.

Well the thread says "SUZUKI Cafe"! I hope this counts, since I just found the topic, love all Cafes. My favorite little two-stroke, my 1976 Suzuki GT750 Water Buffalo Cafe, slightly modified, of course. There are some AWESOME bikes in this thread!

I wouldn't call it a cafe, Viper, but it is a very cool build nonetheless.

It epitomizes the "Buffalo" part of the name. Burly, burly, burly!

                      Thanks,

Building the GT750 Smoker was an exercise in creating a "modern classic cafe" two stroke with contemporary suspension, braking, wheels and running gear. In doing so the GT has been transformed into a much slimmer, lighter version of it's previous self. In the conversion the bike dropped 100 lbs with the modern gear and handles like a modern sport bike while braking is phenomenal with the six pot Tokicos! The seat height is only 32" from the ground and the wheel base is shorter than my Katana. All in all it makes for a pretty entertaining ride.

Admittedly, the only original GT750 parts left on the bike are the frame, motor, radiator, and side covers, every other part is either custom or from another bike.

                            Viper,

Dropping 100lbs off the GT is a feat in itself. You've got that part of the Cafe aspect going nicely.

Thanks dude! And 'svelte' - great word, I must start using that

She just needs brakes and some detailing (licence plate etc) - I'm saving for some Harrison Billet callipers, they're fairly expensive but worth it IMO.

                                Cheers,
