She just needs brakes and some detailing (licence plate etc) - I'm saving for some Harrison Billet callipers, they're fairly expensive but worth it IMO.

Ouch! You're not kidding about price.

I hope you are earning GBP:

Nice clean bike Dec79. I love the spokes and black finish. Makes it look lean and mean!

Wow!! I absolutely love what you've done with that bike. Simple and tidy and beautifully executed.
It's the look that I'm shooting for for mine. I'd be thrilled if mine turned out half as nice as yours.
        Thanks for the inspiration!
        BTW, are those factory wheels?

          Thanks for the comments mate

The wheels were a bit of a lucky (but expensive) eBay find, Wider-track Akront rims made by Hagon I'm told. Build for a GS1000 race bike.

                  Is the seat a G602313?

Promking, what muffler did you use? I have a 4-1 that I need to get rid of the silly looking megaphone, I like the sleek look you have on yours.

BadJackson, are you looking at post #49? If so, that short muffler in the first pic looks like a universal Emgo slash cut muffler.

Since Promking hasn't posted in so long, he lost his "member" status here. Notice how it says "Guest" under his user name....

Yes, Big Rich, #49 is the one I was speaking of. Mine is 20.5" long & tapered. It's a megaphone style, and looks to be almost 5" diameter at the end. It sticks out to clear the hangers on the frame. It's just plain ugly. I wouldn't mind so much if it had a reverse cone end on it...

My build has been stalled for a bit due to finances, but I'm hoping to get a seat made for it soon. It's a 79 750e that I call Mad Madge. It has the wiseco big bore kit, Andrews SII cams, and a yosh 4:1 exhaust. I have a set of spokes hubs for it and I have sourced an aluminum 36 hole did rear rim, I just need to find a deal on a 19 for the front. Once I get a seat made to follow the lines of the 1100 tank it's just the small stuff like new brake pads and chain that are left to complete the bike.
in the background you can see the other 79 750e that I'm throwing together. This one is being built from my parts bins. I parted a bunch of bikes to get the parts to build the first one, and my horde of parts is large, I've been throwing this one ( I have begun referring to her as the jalopy) together as a way to pass garage time until finances improve. I hope to spend no more money than the cost of new gaskets on this bike, every other part will come from my bins or those of my buddies.
