Dan, if you find the front wheel of a GR650X, it used a 19" alloy rim. The "upgraded" GR650 used the standard 19" mag wheel.

Cool bike! Need more / better pics.....

            Resurrecting my old race bike

Had my first shake down ride on my resurrected race bike. I will post a full story in the rebuild section later. Needs some carb tuning. Considering all that has been changed, overall it turned out well. Maiden voyage was interesting and looking forward to more saddle time to get it sorted out.

Limeex, it cool to see that your project is coming together, as I recall your ocassinal mention of it. That 4 valver looks awfully cozy with the tank. Look like a fun ride with the engine swap, carbs and brake work. l look forward to reading its story.

So, I want to make my 78 1000 a Brat Style or maybe even a Street Tracker or Scrambler Style. One of the things I've noticed is that a lot of the custom bikes have matched sizes for wheels. My stock bike runs a 19" up front & a 17" out back. Are you Cafe guys changing wheel sizes as part of your customization? Cafe & Brat are pretty similar IMO.

Welcome to the site. That's great pic and a nice looking bike. Nice to see someone else from MT that likes these bikes.

Subbing to the thread as I'm building a cafe as well.
Right now it's a "brat", but I'll be changing the seat and handlebars and all that fun stuff.
This is how she sits and a linky to the build page http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...e-Tractor-quot
BADJACKSON, I'll have my seat and handlebars up for sale or trade in a bit if you're looking for brat stuff

That's a good looking bike. I think it's about perfect in that middle pic.
                            Good luck on your build!
