Nelson Rigg SLR-30 Sport Saddlebags on $ 89.00 CLOSEOUT

I snagged a set of these - anyone else use them ?

    24 liters per side -

I had picked up a like new Nelson Rigg tail bag a few months back so this makes a nice amount of storage for me.

I had exactly the same questions when I was looking a few weeks back. I went for the Nelson-Rigg bags that look identical to those you're looking at but I think I went with the 905's purely because they were on sale at the time. I don't have any pictures here at work but I have five GS's and I wouldn't think twice about throwing them over any one of them, BUT I have only actually tried them on three of them.

I got them to put on my kat for a 650 mile weekend trip and they worked fantastically well, I was impressed with them. I have a standard exhaust and they weren't even close so no worries about getting hot. Didn't need any extra external support in addition to what they came with. Once fitted and the straps are all at the correct length it takes about 30 seconds to put them on and about the same to take them off.

Only advice I would give is if the bags you're looking at need the internal stiffener: http://www.nelsonrigg.com/store/product.aspx?pid=1616 to retain their shape when empty, I'd get them.
It's smoke that make electronic components work.
Every time I've let the smoke out by mistake, they never work again.
