The Corbin is on an 80 850L so yes no reason the seat would not work on an 82. But once again I cut the seat mounts off the bike to use the Sportster seat. I have looked on craigslist for seats, sportster and otherwise, most can be found fairly cheap.

I did it because the seat, tank and side covers were shot. I had the pods and the exhaust came with the bike, and the side covers were not hard to make. I don't do mods very often.

The tank is off a 750L and holds about a gal more than the stock peanut tank.

Nice score btw. I was just going to take mine to an upholstry shop and have it shaved. I would like to push the drivers saddle back a bit in the the passenger portion to get a bigger seat for me. What do you think? Or does this seat an easier fix?

    You think that would fit a 850 L? 1982

I was going to make minor changes. In my opinion. make seat more comfortable shaving it back toward the passenger more maybe. Lower with 11 inch shocks. I have pretty tall six four, so forward controls, fork boots, and bars, cables. She will still look like she does just a little different.

    My GS850L

Here is a pic of the bike I ride. I would like to mod her a little but I still need to go through all the recommended maintenance first. Well I might do little mod first. She runs great. Rode her 200 miles today.
