hey i got a GS850GL, its an 82 model and the wind is so strong at 70mph its crazy, does anyone have a good recommendation of a good windshield or fairing to make a difference

How much you want to be protected?

For protection almost as good as a frame-mounted Windjammer, try the National Cycle Plexifairing 3.

I have this one that I am going to get rid of, I don't know if the bracket is the same or not, mine is a (82 GS1100GL). Bags and trunk are going to be for sale too.
