Looks like you come full circle, and it's great for you to have that opportunity to do it all again. They say if you have a job doing what you love, you'll never have to work a day in your life.
So, when you get back there, you can do a show about us, Yes? No? Maybe?

Surely we will miss your periodic displays of art in what you've recreated with many of these bikes.

It's KPND in Sandpoint, Idaho, and I'll be doing afternoon drive between 3-7pm. It's a very adult, blues-based, alternative music type of format, which is very cool. I'm excited about the prospects..life coming around full-circle and all that...

Can't wait to tune you in while I'm working on my bike when internet access is available. That's a great sounding format.

Yeah..lookin' forward to getting back on the air. It really is fun. Besides being a DJ, I've had the privilege of meeting some of the most talented people in the music business, interviewing everyone from Bo-Diddly to Ozzy Osbourne. There wasn't hardly a day that went by that I didn't say..man, I love this job. It's been a challenge to go from that to spending all my time in a solitary environment. I don't regret it, though. I paid my bills, met a ton of good people, had some nice magazine features, and painted some really rare and desirable bikes, including 8 Wes Cooley replicas. It's been a good run.

Sure going to miss that eye candy you keep posting. When you moving in? Wizard and I are heading through there mid-morning Sept. 6th. and maybe again late afternoon on the 15th. Might have time to stop for coffee if we can get our butts out of bed on time. If you get a chance to ride north of the border into that foreign wasteland I'm only a couple hours north of you. We have nice roads up here too, sssshhh.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I might be curtailing the painting thing for awhile, but I'll definately still be hangin' around the site. If I can offer any advice, I'd be glad to do so. The place I'll be renting in Sandpoint has a small, nicely finished, heated shop (one of my priorities while searching) in the back yard so I'm looking forward to possibly still doing some side jobs. Just gotta make sure it's OK with the landlord..and the neighbors...

Congrats on the new job and the move to Sandpoint! Might have to look you up sometime....I am just south of you in Hayden. Picked up myfirst GS a few weeks ago and am hauling it down to my buddy's shop in Moscow this weekend.....winter project.

You know 80 miles each way is a nice incentive to not move if the road and weather are nice and you have a nice zook to share the miles with.

Larry..All I can say is that I ECHO the sentiments already posted. Like i told you a few weeks ago when you told me of this, us guys that are into theses bikes because of their significance to the history of motorcycling in general and wish to honor and revelle in their glory want only the best for ourm efforts and money. When that "someone" is found one tends to get spoiled very very easily. In a motorcycle sense..I think that would make YOU a WES COOLEY of the paint slaying type. I am glad that youll consider side jobs as time permits. God speed and im so proud to drive your artwork around and spout your name at every chance it comes up.

I actually know a couple of co-workers doing just that for now, but it's a 90 minute commute (by car) each way. 6 months out of the year would be do-able, but the winters here can be treacherous at times. Wish I didn't have to move, it's a p-i-t-a.

It'll be sad to see the awesome paint jobs slow down for a while, but hopefully the landlord and neighbours are fine and dandy with the odd job here and there.

I'm actually planning a shed to double as a reasonably proper spray booth down the side of the house because I recently discovered spraying 2 part here is only legal if you have a proper spray booth... so if your landlord/neighbours have any complaints keep an eye out for when I do it as the plan is for my neighbours not to have a clue what's going on... and for it to be all filtered and sealed so it's legal too

Thanks, Pete. That 2 part urethane is pretty heavy duty when it comes to fumes. Activated charcoal filters will help. I mostly need to find out if I can cut a hole in my landlord's nice shed for an exhaust fan..haha!

If your landlord is into bikes you could always off to paint a tank for him in compensation... I'm sure once he's seen your work he'd realise he was getting a bargain!
