You, too, have been an awesome customer, Joe. You've allowed me the time to do your bikes the way we both knew they had to be done, w/o question. Your talent as a restorer made painting your bikes a priviledge. You totally get what attention to detail means, and how it's the combination of our talents that made the finished products so incredibly cool. I hope that we can work together again soon.

Whew..glad to hear everything arrived safely, Steve. Even happier to hear that you're satisfied with the results. Shipping parts half way around the world was scary, for sure. I'm thrilled that all is well. Thank YOU for the business, and the kind words. I can't think of a better way to (temporarily) close the doors of Meticulous Motorcycle Painting then doing your bikes. It was indeed a pleasure. I look forward to the possibility of doing your S models one day.

As a former broadcaster, I understand your move. I got tired of being jobless everytime the joint I was at got sold. After I retire from teaching, I plan to go back. Then it will be for fun, not profit.
                Good luck. Great work.

It's rare for anyone to stay in broadcasting for any length of time. Most people can't take living off of Mac & Cheese for more than a year or two . Hell, I did radio for a decade before I made 20 grand a year at it. Ironically, it was when I started making good money at it, that it put a big target on my chest..but, it's an addiction. I've been fortunate enough to get another opportunity (at a decent wage, thankfully). If you can do it again for the pure enjoyment, Bookmon, I salute you, too.

Thanks, Joe. LOVE that bike. The paint only compliments what you did to the rest of it. That baby's a museum piece.

Along with the RC30 I did, I'm probably more proud of that paint job then any I've done, Joe. Both were really challenging. I'd give my left n--..um..arm for that bike.

I probably should put this in the General section, but just wanted to follow up on the move and new job. I've had a few people contact me through this thread wondering.

I got moved to Sandpoint, and back on the air again this past Monday. After three years of not being a disk jockey it was scary as hell, but after a few days and some embarrassing mistakes, it's all coming back. Just having to re-learn all the equipment and how it all works at a new station. The people I work with have been very supportive and a nice welcome from listeners who still remembered me from the past. My wife and I were able to sell our house in Spokane in only one week..which was unbelievably cool and certainly takes the stress out of that. She'll move up here with me in a couple of weeks after we sign off on the house. She's even found a job already, so everything is falling into place at a much quicker pace then we could've ever hoped for.

It's almost surreal to start over again at this point in one's life, but sometimes all the planets align, and everything works out to the better. I'm feeling very lucky, and very blessed these days.

This site, and the members here, are a lifeline to some of the things that mean the most to me..cool bikes, a fun community of owners, and some great friendships with people I've never even met face to face. I'm grateful for it all. Thanks for caring, you guys.

                                Larry
