    Cleaning Mag Wheels

After trying about every wheel cleaner known to man trying to remove the white bleed through on painted mag wheels I've found a product that seems to disolve it. Trying OxyClean carpet spray for some reason loosened it enough to brush the painted part of wheels to a very nice look. This bike sat inside for around 7 years and is now almost done. It's looking good.

OxyClean is a wonder product. Good for many many things. Trick is to "FULLY" dissolve it before application. Just make sure you rinse well when done. Especially on your rims. Over rinse. Don't leave anything left behind. Good find

      wheel cleaner

Hey guys just found out that PAM cooking spray works great on removing oil and baked on grease just spray on and let sit and rinse well. Use a soft bristle brush on stuborn areas and reaply PAM and rinse well. Hey it works great.

      Best of luck! Archie

I just put gravy on it and let the dog lick it off.

Hey don't make fun Scotty, that technique works well for cleaning almost any surface needing cleaning. The kitchen floor only gets washed to remove dog saliva There isn't anything else on it 8O

I am new to this stuff, and advise strongly not to use over cleaner... I put it all over the grubby engine, and sure, it took all the *@%^$*@%^$*@%^$*@%^$e off, plus most of the laquer... I am going to have to polish or paint the damned thing..

My wheels were really poor, so I washed them well with degreaser mixed with a 50/50 diesel/petrol mix and spray painted them with a can. A week later, with the bike on centre stand ran the bike in second and with a load of soapy water and wet and dry paper (funny thing here, I have yet to buy the wet part.. it is always dry...) took the edge of the rim to shiny, like mirror finish... All I need to do is devise a way of making the front wheel spin as well... Ideas? :?
