Pics of your "L" with no fenders ?

Doing a winter project on my 81GS550L , including redoing the seat to a flat style changing the rear tail lights and brake light and front turns.
Already swapped out the handle bars.

Anybody removed there front and rear fenders and if so , got a pic?

Would not recommend running without the front fender. It has a fork brace built in that keeps the fork lowers pointing the same direction, and moving at the same time. Without that brace the forks will be very dangerous. It can be removed from the fender though, and you can simply use the fork brace instead of the front fender.

You could also get an aftermarket fork brace to tie the legs together where the dust boots are, and run without the fender or the OEM brace at all. Paint it black and you will hardly see it, but your bike will still be safe to ride.

The rear fender you can yank off without suffering any real issues. Your back will get wet and dirty if you ride on wet or dirty roads, but that's about it.
