But not necessarily that one in particular.
That would be the emgo, or perhaps a cheap knock off of a cheap knock off emgo.

So apart from what I would imagine is thin fiberglass, what are the drawbacks of a cheap fairing like this? Doesn't seem like there's much there to go wrong. Is it just poor craftsmanship?

They're not glass, they're plastic and it's thin, light material and really flimsy. The screens are particularly depressing. I had one on one of my RD's back in the day.. I picked one up(physically - not bought) at a shop recently and they've gotten worse. Airtech makes some decent unpainted vintage fairings.

Meier makes a nice little fairing, good quality. It keeps the wind off your torso a little bit.

I like that. The windshield is a bit tall for what I want, but I like the overall shape.

Does she have her MC endorsement??????

Check out some of the quarter fairings at Airtech - I ended up putting an 83 Katana fairing on my GR and like it.
That fairing is exactly the design I'd like to have but I understand they are cheaply built and break easily. You think there's any way to beef it up with fiberglass on the inside surfaces? Just a thought.

You could use it as a mold but they are floppy and don't even hold their shape at all.

                    Really ****e.

Well, that's certainly an idea. Although, it won't solve the windshield flimsiness. Hmm.....

No it's the fairing itself that is flimsy, not the windshield..

Ahhhh..... maybe there's hope. Might have to see if I can make a fiberglass version....

From what I've read online about the emgo fairings is that they're made like a red plastic cup. You're much better off getting something from Airtech like posted above ^^

Here is my acewell mount. I drilled a hole in the triple clamp and bent and taped the acewell bracket. Fits real tight and at a great angle.
