I have an '82 GS1100GK tourer that I am renovating. I need to clean up the windshield. Anyone know if the shield is coated plastic or not? Also, if not coated, what would be a good polish to use on it to clean it up & get minor scratches out of it?

After tipping my bike over in the garage ,and putting god awful scratches in my aftermarket windscreen, the manufacturer, (gustaffson) recommended plastic repair products by Novus. It worked wonders on what i thought was irrepairable.sigpic

Both meant for general plastic parts.
You will want to do by hand. Use buffer and can digg too deep too fast.
