I did sand the basecoat to get rid of the lines between colors and also sanded the clear between coats. You can't see or feel the transition from blue to white.The seat is stock.

I painted my 1150 back in the day when paint was paint and cancer was only a clear coat away. Todays paints are a lot safer to use, but the old two part nasty stuff from back then was almost indestructable. My son is a painter/body guy so my painting days are behind me.

You learned, possibly saved some money (time being " free" of course), and endedup with a great looking cycle. Nice job. I also dig the low fairing.sigpic
