How do you get them so "Chromey" lookin'?

Nice job.....
That's at least a half day of sanding and polishing.....looks almost like you poured the shine on.....
I wonder what they would look like without the decals and if you had polished those areas as well ?

And how did I get them so Chromey?Well I cannot tell a lie...after much sanding and polishing, then more sanding and more polishing..I took the parts to Victoria Plating for an estimate. 100 bucks for all three. Done!! I thought my time was worth it. Dropped them off Wed. had them back today. Money well spent IMO. I doo feel a little lazt though.No signature :(

I have preached the value of NOT clearing them and having it yellow again in 4 or 5 years, but yes the metal needs proteceted. But how can you protect the metal and not clear it, you may ask??
Well, as I promote all the time, you get a bottle of WIZARDS POWER SEAL. Get some and try this on a piece of steel...rub some POWER SEAL into the steel until it is almost gone, then rub it clean with a dry rag. Next, dunk it in some water and watch it bead right off. Next, throw that piece of steel outside on the grass and spray it with the hose and leave it there a day or two. When you go back and get the steel, youll find the untreated part has rusted but the POWER SEAL side is still perfect.
If you apply WIZARDS POWER SEAL to your covers and rub it in real good, youll just have to refresh the sealer every spring and youll have no new oxidation...I promise you!!!
