Glad yours is working out Sandy, but there's no way, no how I could have cure mine in the oven..I would be single, lol. I can't tell you how many times I've stunk the house up, I think I'm out of chances. You should have been here the time I boiled carbs in Pine Sol, holy cow does that stuff stink! opps...
How did the carbs come out ?

Ant...yes. The can even has directions. Somethig like start the engine and let it warm up for X minutes..shut off for X minutes..repeat a few times.

By get it "hot" for the first heat cycle, when I did it, I got it real hot..but not hot enough to bubble the paint. Then i did it again maybe 4 or 5 times and slightly increased the run time each cycle.

They turned out not 'too' bad. I don't think it would work well on really dirty carbs but those ones weren't too bad. But now I have a can of Berrymans so that's the end of PineSol, up here in Canada we have no decent quality carb dip so we have to smuggle up Berrymans...geez I feel like a drug dealer

            More Paint Queries!!!

Was informed VHT bought out by duplicolour.. I called Rudy Held speed ?? shop in New Hamburg, I told them i wanted 127 vht paint code silver ,,,they said we will order it and by the way duplicoplour is new vht line. I ended up with duplicolour code CDE 1615 aluminumn, I am looking for a oven so i can paint a engine. I was also told bt rudy helds the duplicolour paint had a 127 number in it and when it came it did NOT, usuall **** service wherever you go it seems nowadays..

I was going to post this info for you madmikeracing, but I see you found out yourself

the last time I was in a Canadian Tire store, I noticed very few cans of VHT anything, and way more of the Duplicolour, so I asked the guys behind the counter how come, and it's exactly what you wrote that they told me as well, VHT was bought out by Duplicolour and this is what they will now be stocking

sorry I didn't post it earlier...

              .

So the mystery continues. Picked up a can of Duplicolor CDE 1650 Cast Aluminum at Canadian Tire because they didn't have the VHT 127 any more. I guess I'll save it for when I run out of the VHT aluminum caliper paint that I picked up at Lordco. By your number it sounds like Duplicolor has 2 different aluminum ones.

I looked into that idea, the shipping cost was twice the price of the paint so I said no thanks.
