Will a luggage rack from a GS850G fit GS650L?

Pretty simple, Will a luggage rack from a GS850G fit, or be easily adaptable to fit a GS650L?

I would imagine the rack from the 850 is wider and could simple use longer hardware, but any info you could provide to reassure me would be very helpful, thanks!

No, brackets will have to be cut off and welded and redone

Since I happen to have both of those bikes here, and have tried various racks, I can definitely concur with kdo, it will NOT be easy.

The mounting points are different, and the spacing between those points is also different. With some good fabrication skills and a good welder, it would be possible, but you asked for "easily adaptable".
