my question about some plug in on the motor

the little nipple looking plug on the motor that has a slip on connector is called what? it has a wire to it but i have no clue what it is. also i would lkie to know where i can get a new connector for it the one i have is worn and ugly after 32yrs old.also the bike i bought is a 81 gs850g and it used to have a fairing the took the fairing off and now there is a bunch of unused wires whats the best way to hide them or just cut them off thanks.

if the part you are referring to is on top the crankcase, under the carbs, then that is your oil pressure light switch
    1978 GS1085.

Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!
