Speedometer Question
hey everyone I have an 83 Suzuki GS 750 and my speedometer only shows up to 85. I've seen on videos that some people have where the speedometer shows 140. I want to do the same for my bike what do I need to do. And is it an easy install?Tags: None

i think all you need to get is a speedo, drive gear and cable should be the same. but lets have someone with more knowledge confirm this

Swapping faces will not work. As meantioned, the internal gearing wiill not mesh with the numbers on a 140 face.
Whats needed is a full 140 speedo swap. Gear drive at the wheel should be the same whether its pushing an 85 or 140 speedo.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

The 85mph speedo was U.S. mandated. Find one for your bike from another country. It may be in K.P.H. but will have a full sweep.
Or just get a gps.
