Will Gs 1000 fairing fit an 850?

Hey guys & gals, not sure if this is the correct place to post this but your knowledge would be a great help!

I was flicking through this months worth of motorcycle magazines and was wondering if the gs 1000s fairing would fit my 850G

obviously I'd have to gather the brackets and stuff but I'm mainly after the bubble-like windshield and the belly pan as I'm tired of constantly cleaning my pipes every weekend.

which hopefully won't break the bank..

    Thanks

    If it's a 1000G, definitely.

If it's a 1000E, maybe, but most likely.

The fairing will fit straight on.

There was never a standard GS1000 belly pan but if it fits a 1k it'll fit an 850.

I have an '82 1100E model, I fitted the same type fairing to mine. I know you have a different bike but, the mounting concept is the same. Here is a link to a thread I started a few years ago showing how I did it.

You can also take a look at my photo albums, there are other pictures there that may also be of use.
          Hope it helps.

            Like everyone said.......
The original brackets will be like rocking horse sh*t to get hold of, just make up your own.
If you have the square indicators, note that they come in two lengths, long stalk, and short stalk, you will need the long stalk ones to clear the fairing, see ic below.

Everyone thank you very much for your assistances and guidance on this, I've decides to go with the replica belly pan but still thinking about the front fairingcontinuously.

              nonetheless. Thank you.
