Ray..just cut off the tabs and make your own and weld them on. Drill a hole thru the brackets that is the same size as the OD of the guards piping and weld the new flanges on from underneath inside the hole. There may be a very little discoloration in the chrome right near the seams. Then just paint the flanges silver. Or if they are already rusty, just paint or powdercoat.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it. -

30 bux is really cheap but you won't know how well they fit until you get them back and try them. I think you are supposed to use a U bolt to fit those to the frame. Does one side have two holes in it? I went through the same thing recently (gsx750 bars were supposed to fit my GSX 1100) then spent 2 days cutting and welding (I'm a really bad welder). Wikk get them rechromed when I fix up the rest of the bike. Maybe you can ask the guy if he will give you a refund if they don't fit?Comment
