Ray..just cut off the tabs and make your own and weld them on. Drill a hole thru the brackets that is the same size as the OD of the guards piping and weld the new flanges on from underneath inside the hole. There may be a very little discoloration in the chrome right near the seams. Then just paint the flanges silver. Or if they are already rusty, just paint or powdercoat.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

NEVER SNEAK UP ON A SLEEPING DOG..NOT EVEN YOUR OWN.
I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

I am hoping they are still there, haven't been able to go back and grab them.
Damn building a shed getting in the way! and honey-do's.

30 bux is really cheap but you won't know how well they fit until you get them back and try them. I think you are supposed to use a U bolt to fit those to the frame. Does one side have two holes in it? I went through the same thing recently (gsx750 bars were supposed to fit my GSX 1100) then spent 2 days cutting and welding (I'm a really bad welder). Wikk get them rechromed when I fix up the rest of the bike. Maybe you can ask the guy if he will give you a refund if they don't fit?
