New bars now controls to big?

    Hello

I have posted about other issues I had installing drag bars on my 82 gs850L and I have one final issue to resolve. After installing the bars now my brake master cylinder is in the way. I cannot adjust the lever into the proer lower posistion because the banjo bolt comes into contact with the bolt that tightens to hold the fork in place. Looks like I need to replace it right? I think I need one with a reservoir that is separate? This would give me more room since the brake cable will connect directly to the lever with out having to first go through a master cylinder.

Can any one suggest one that is decent that does not cost an arm and a leg?
Or is there another solutions that I am not thinking of?

Also my clutch lever is to big where it comes out of the lever and gets adjusted. Are the old clutch levers beefier? Would a new matching clutch lever be more compact? The problem I am having is with the grip and choke in place the adjustment end is almost touching the cluster.

Is there any other set up I should consider to correct this problem?

I think I need some good pictures to understand your setup before offering any suggestions.

RH, I tried Superbike bend and the M/C was too close to the stock cluster on my 82. I then got the Daytona bend and they just made it. Are there any wider drag bars available? Pics would be good.......The Daytonas as I recall are 29 and change wide.

I solved this problem with a new MC from Mike's XS, one with the brake line outlet on the front, rather than on the side. Cost about $60, if I recall correctly.
