    Rear signal mounts,78 GS 1000

OK this could go here or electrical,it's a bit of both.

Pretty sure I've got the signals mounted wrong,so where do they mount? The underside of the "glovebox" is the only other place I can see.Or have I made a complete hash of it?

They are swapped side-for-side, and they go to the bolts at the end of the frame, the ones that also hold the fender to the frame.

In other words, just a few inches forward and a couple of inches up from where they are right now.

You can see those bolts in your picture.

If they don't hold any of the bodywork, maybe some reflectors?

As Steve said. They go on over the frame with the rear fender bolts. They cap over the ends of the frame. So, he ones thats on the right in the pics goes on the left of the bike..and vis versa.

Those metal brackets theyre on now dont go anywhere...someone made that up. The tail piece sits on over everything and bolts thru the 3 holes in the rear plastic fender piece.

            Like this...

They may have been moved back so saddlebags could be installed.
