Real men eat eggshells and ride Sportsters.

Seriously, let's put this into perspective. If your brother did the things you see in this commercial, wouldn't you have him committed?

If my neighbor ate eggshells and threw his trash can through his window each week I would think he was mentally deranged.

I mean come on, Diet Dr. Pepper did a better job making their product look manly than Harley is doing in this commercial.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

EDIT: My wife just watched the commercial and said, "What a great commercial!" I rest my case.

On top of a bias already, the marketing group lost me years ago when we lived in Milwaukee during the 100th. The build up to the secret performance and then this marketing miss. http://mobile.onmilwaukee.com/music/articles/elton.html.

I can only say harley has more money than any other motorcycle company, and I cannot see why. They make inferior bikes. I guess its the made in America thing.Although many of their parts are not made in America.

Is it just me or does it look/sound like he's revving the engine with the key.

Yes, the younger 'next generation' of Harley owners... The 30-45 age bracket.
I guess anyone under 30 is a hipster who is too cool to ride HD?

Remember commercials that would exhault the virtues of the products being advertised? Think of those truck commercials with the Texas drawl voice over telling you it has the most torque, pulling capacity, more this and more that than the competition? Compiled with manly blue collar worker man scenes, it would give you an idea of what the product could do in a manly way.. "I could see me driving one of those capable machines to do the job at hand.. " (though most would own such a truck just to go do groceries..)

The Harley commecial shows you basically the "perception" of what you would hope others think when they see you rolling down the streets, not doing shoulder checks, cross traffic checks at intersections, as long as you looked cool and thought cool thoughts, who cares what the machine does, how reliable it is, whether or not it actually does have Japanese parts on it, assembled (not made) in the US of the A.. As long as you think other people think you look cool, oh yeah man I wants me one of them..

As Retardo Mentalblock used to say "it is better to look good than to feel good".

"Harley Davidson, the only motorcycle fit to be in the Octogon" announced at the UFC matches, displaying the logo in the middle of the cage.. more likely the only motorcycle company with enough advertising dollar to afford the costs to have their logo in the cage..

and so on and so forth.. At least this one was better than the parked Harley with the red bra dangling from the handlebars while hearing cuddly noises in the back ground.. "Harley riders get more action".. cough cough.. right..

Two wheels, bugs in your teeth, wind on you face.. it doesn't matter what you ride, just as long as you are riding and are happy with your bike.. that's all that should count.. </rant>

                        Cheers
